The Town of Middleton Water Utility is owned and operated by the Town and governed by the Town of Middleton Council.
The Water Utility is regulated by the Nova Scotia Utilities Act, and the user rates are approved by the Nova Scotia Utilities and Review Board.
Quarterly Water Bills
Billing Cycle
- January 1 - March 31
- April 1 - June 30
- July 1 - September 30
- October 1 - December 31
Accounts are billed a flat rate for the water meter, depending on the meter size. Most residences have a 5/8" meter with a current rate of $92.17 per quarter.
All metered accounts are billed $1.70 per cubic metre for actual water consumed.
Rates will increase for water consumed after April 1, 2026.

Unpaid bills will incur an interest charge of 1.5% per month on the 16th of each month.
