The Town of Middleton would like to provide residents with an update regarding road repairs and pothole maintenance.
The asphalt patch paving tender closed on June 1 and was awarded today, June 2. The successful contractor will now be scheduled to complete the work based on their availability. Once a timeline has been confirmed, the Town will provide an update to residents through its website and social media channels.
As is common following the winter season, freeze-thaw cycles have resulted in an increased number of potholes and areas of deteriorating pavement throughout the community. While Public Works staff continue to monitor road conditions and perform temporary repairs where possible, permanent asphalt patch paving is required to address many of the more significant areas of damage.
Patch paving will be completed based on priority locations and the severity of roadway deterioration.
The Town appreciates the public's patience as this work is scheduled and completed. Maintaining our road infrastructure remains a priority, and staff will continue working to address problem areas throughout the paving season.
Further updates, including anticipated timelines, will be shared as soon as they become available.
