The Town of Middleton is looking for residents interested in volunteering to represent Middleton or make recommendations to the Middleton Town Council on important topics.
The Police Advisory Board provides direction, organization and policy required to maintain an adequate, effective, and efficient police department while ensuring that community needs and values are reflected in policing priorities, objectives, goals, programs, and strategies.
What does it involve?
You will sit on the Police Advisory Board to discuss matters that may be brought before Council. The Policy Advisory Board makes recommendations to Council, based on their discussions. This is how it works:
- The Board usually meets every three months
- Meetings last for approximately one to two hours
- You will work with a team and listen to others
- You will communicate effectively and constructively to solve community issues
- You, along with the board members, will demonstrate respect for all members and communities
- Your volunteer commitment may be up to three years
- You will help shape the future of the Town of Middleton.
- All vacant board positions will be advertised on the Town's website and social media and will include descriptions of the board, its purpose, membership terms, and directions to apply.
- Applications are to include a resume and /or a detailed letter describing how the applicant's experience and education are relevant to the board's purpose. Where an applicant does not have significant experience and/or education, they should demonstrate a willingness to learn and an interest in the board's subject matter.
Who
Interested individuals who reside within the Town of Middleton are invited to submit the application form including your qualifications, relevant volunteer experience or resume.
What
Application forms are available online at www.discovermiddleton.ca or at the Town Hall between the hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
When
Applications will be accepted until all vacancies are filled. Recommendations will be made to Council on board appointments.
Where
All applications must be submitted to the Town Hall.

Middleton Town Council will ensure, whenever possible, that appointments reflect the diversity of the community. Applications will remain on file and be considered for vacancies that may occur through the 2025 calendar year.
