Shalan Joudry is a Storyteller, hand-drum singer and poet from the traditional district of Kespukwitk (southwest Nova Scotia). She uses her theatrical background to bring Mi'kmaw legends to a new generation of listeners, as well as recounting personally crafted stories that follow Mi'kmaw

storyweaving custom. She lives and works in her community of Bear River First Nation.
