The Race:
The Saint Andrew’s Half Marathon was initially run in 1979, in honour of Saint Andrew, the Patron Saint of Scotland. Since this time, the race has been held each year with the date changing to early November to lessen chances of inclement weather. The event currently attracts 100 runners.
This year will be the first year Habitat for Humanity Annapolis Valley has taken over the organization of this run. All profits from the run will go to benefit local Valley families. Habitat for Humanity is a community based, not for profit, registered charity working for a world where everyone has affordable, safe and a decent home in which to live.

Runners will receive a mug as a race souvenir, as long as quantities last! This year, any runner who collects $100.00 in pledges, will have free entry! All funds go to Habitat for Humanity Annapolis Valley Project. Please see pledge sheet available. A meal will be provided at end of race. We will be limiting the race to 150 runners so please register early. Same day race registration and kit pick up is at Annapolis East Elementary School, located on Marshall Street next to Rotary Park in Middleton, from 10.30 AM onward with race beginning at 12 noon.
