Northlands Secondary Planning Strategy

Update: May 2024

The Northlands are over 100 acres of residentially designated lands that are set to be our next growth node. Before these lands can be developed, a secondary planning strategy is required to ensure proper planning. A secondary plan is a plan and policy that guides an area that is set to grow. The Northlands Secondary Planning Strategy is designed to fit within the framework of the existing Town of Middletown Municipal Planning Strategy and Land Use By-law.

After the engagement sessions held in the winter, the planners, designers, and engineers at Fathom Studio have been hard at work, using input from the sessions and online survey along with the results of their analyses to create a plan for a comprehensive, well-planned subdivision.  The Northlands Secondary Planning Strategy aims to provide a diverse range of affordable housing options set in a walkable neighborhood that respects the environment and achieves a high level of ecological sustainability.
